Award winning Northern Beaches Hospital
It’s still three years until Northern Beaches Hospital opens, yet the project team has already taken home a coveted 2015 NSW Premier Award.
The award was presented on 17 November by NSW Premier Mike Baird to Healthscope and Health Infrastructure in the category Making NSW a better place to live.
The project was awarded the accolade in recognition of the innovative partnership between Healthscope and NSW Health, which has resulted in the redesign of health services on the Northern Beaches. The contract is the first of its kind in NSW which will deliver services to private as well as public patients on behalf of the NSW Government. It will enable reduced facility and service duplication in a single integrated hospital, improving clinical outcomes for patients and managing health service demand. The contracting process is the first injection of private sector funding into major health infrastructure.
Northern Beaches Hospital Project Director Deborah Latta said “I’m confident that this award will be the first of many as we’re focussed on making this a world-class hospital; with exceptional services, quality and care for public and private patients.”
The hospital is on schedule to open in late 2018. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org
